Karibu, welcome to the table

A bold and flavorful celebration of Tanzanian street food, served as a platter made for sharing.

Every Thursday, Chef Ammalu of Serengeti Kitchen sets a communal table inside The Market at 7th Street, layered with African fabrics and decorative touches. Pull up a seat with family and friends and eat the way Tanzanians do: together.

Chef Ammalu was born in Arusha, Tanzania, and has decades of culinary experience. She cooks to share Tanzanian and East African food and culture, and this is the same table behind the Eat Like A Tanzanian dinners.

Seats are limited. Orders open every Friday and close Tuesday at midnight. You can order up to four weeks ahead to hold the date you want.

Parking: free two-hour validated parking at the 7th Street Station Parking Garage.

Questions? Call Serengeti Kitchen at 704-242-8159.
