Delete your data

You can ask us to delete your Charlotte List account and the personal data tied to it at any time. This applies no matter how you signed in: passkey, Google, or another sign-in service.

Do it yourself

Signed in? Go to your Account page, choose "Delete my account" and type DELETE. It happens right away, and we send you one last email to confirm.

Or ask us

Email hello@charlottelist.com from the email address on your account.
Use the subject line "Delete my data".
If you no longer have that email address, tell us and we will confirm it is you another way.

We confirm your request within 7 days and finish it within 30 days.

What we delete

Your account, name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
Your passkeys, linked sign-ins such as Google, and signed-in sessions.
Photos you uploaded.
Your contact record on hosts' guest lists, so hosts can no longer message you through Charlotte List.

What we keep, and why

Order and payment records, for up to seven years, because tax and accounting rules require them. We strip details we do not need to keep.
Your phone number on our do-not-text list if you opted out of texts, so that no host can text you again.
Records we need to resolve a dispute, stop fraud, or meet a legal duty, for as long as that need lasts.

If you are a host

If you run a host page alone, deleting your account closes it. Upcoming events are cancelled, guests who paid by card get their money back, and memberships people bought from you stop. If guests paid you by payment app (like Venmo) for an event still to come, pay them back first. If you share the page with a team, it stays open for them. Your Stripe account is separate. Close it with Stripe.

If you list a venue

Deleting your account also takes down your venue listing, its photos and its calendar. Hosts with a request or an upcoming booking hear that it closed. If a host already paid you for a booking still to come, pay them back first. If the venue had past bookings, we keep the booking records the hosts need, with your contact details removed.

Sign-in services

Deleting your Charlotte List data does not delete your Google account. You can also remove Charlotte List's access yourself in your Google account's third-party access settings.
